Hetzner
Hetzner is a German hosting provider offering dedicated servers, cloud instances, and storage products at competitive prices.
Running Kubernetes on Hetzner gives you excellent price-performance and keeps your workloads with a European provider — but unlike with managed offerings, the cluster is yours to build and maintain. As a freelance consultant, I help companies run production-ready Kubernetes on Hetzner Cloud, Hetzner bare metal, or both, covering:
- cluster architecture and network design for Hetzner Cloud, bare metal and mixed setups
- automated cluster setup with kubespray and Ansible
- integration of Hetzner Load Balancers, Cloud Volumes and the Hetzner API
- ongoing operations, upgrades and support
My work with Kubernetes on Hetzner goes back to 2020, when I published the first Helm charts for the hcloud-cloud-controller-manager and the hcloud-csi-driver — at a time when Hetzner provided only plain manifest files. Both have since been superseded by official Helm charts from Hetzner.
Looking for a consultant for your Kubernetes cluster on Hetzner? Get in touch. Below you find my articles on Hetzner, sharing some of the experience I have gathered along the way.
